Welcome to Cape Flats YMCA. My name is Ricardo De Reuck. I am the director of the Cape Flats YMCA, but more importantly, I am a Cape Flats Boytjie. 

The Cape Flats YMCA exists to empower young people for life, Leadership and service in a community that is terrorized by various socio-political and economic challenges.

History
The Cape Flats YMCA, previously known as Mitchell's Plain YMCA was founded in 1989. We believe the values and skills learned early on in life are vital building blocks for the future and because of the Y, more young people in neighborhoods around the nation are taking a greater interest in learning and making smarter life choices.

At the Y, children and teens learn values and importance of positive behavior, and can explore their unique talents and interests, helping them realize their potential. At the Cape Flats YMCA we believe that confident kids today create contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
